Education is that which liberates, education is that which leads us to the flowering of our utmost potential as human beings.

In order to achieve this Vision India has taken a major step forward with its National Education Policy 2020 by the addition of universal human values, making education practical with the inclusion of life skills, teaching the right history, nature education, a mechanism to address commercialization & corruption, connecting with the subconscious mind by education in the mother tongue, developing a scientific mindset, a mechanism for stress management, anger management, etc..
In order to ensure the effective implementation of the National Education Policy 2020, it is imperative to allocate a daily class period dedicated to the practical transmission of human values in our schools and colleges. This one class period every day will make Human Values as the foundation of the education system instead of ambition driven blind race right now. This stands as the SOLE practical approach to achieving a peaceful world within the next 10-15 years. In light of this, it’s crucial that global cooperation and sustained efforts play a pivotal role in this pursuit.
Just by losing a football match in Indonesia more than 174 people died in riots by fans. In the 1994 FIFA World Cup, Colombian player Escobar experienced a tragic incident when he was fatally attacked as a result of a self-goal mistake. In the world’s most developed nation, America, the 2022 US CDC report states that Anxiety or Depression disorders affect 32.3% of the overall population, with 50.9% of youth in the 18-29 age group also experiencing these disorders.
If 32.3% of the population experiences serious mental health issues like anxiety or depression, we can safely assume that to reach an anxiety or depression rate of 32.3%, there must be at least three times as many people experiencing sadness in the population. This results in 96.9% of the total population. If 96.9% population is sad then there is a likelihood that 99.99% population must be experiencing the emotions of worry, fear, the feeling of failure, etc.
Worry leads to sadness, which can escalate to anxiety, depression, and even suicide or violence. Depression or anxiety doesn’t occur directly. It is caused in progressive stages out of the feeling of sadness or dejection etc… Sadness or dejection deepens before it becomes depression or anxiety, not immediately. Consequently, depression or anxiety can be seen as an outcome of the prevalence of sadness among the larger population. For example, if one person has been diagnosed with depression or anxiety that means behind this there must be at least three people or more who were already experiencing sadness or dejection type of emotional imbalance.
Need for Sanskara – natural values like work, righteousness, spiritual power, delight, service, humbleness, prosperity, and fearlessness is needed in education along with holistic, intellectual, technical, health, and moral development.

Enhancing teacher quality during program roll-out can be effectively accomplished by incorporating online video materials. Additionally, experts in this field should help create open-source training modules for educators, students, and parents. Also, specialists in this field should help create open-source training modules for educators, students, and parents. The modules should be playful, maximum practical than theory & should cover different age groups. The modules should, in practical terms, impart values such as love, truth, honesty, and the essence of being a good person. The National Education Policy 2020 is a significant step, but its success depends on proper implementation.
